what names have to be in a will

If a couple had a will which reads ''the surviving spouse gets everything''. One of them dies and a new will is created, and there are step-children involved do all their names need to be in the new will?

Your question does not provide enough information to answer properly. Things such as who died, whose children are we talking about, the source of the property, etc., would all impact the possible answers. Contact me with more iformation and I'll try to help answer the question.
