Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Colorado

on-line wills

My estate is simple and straight forward. I am interested in purchasing a ''fill in the blanks'' will from my local office supply store, or on-line. Are these types of wills binding? Would you recommend them for some people?

Re: on-line wills

Yes, fill-in-the-blank forms can be binding and that is their inherent weakness. You could create a document that bears unintended results which could be disasterous for your family.

We recommend that if you do create your own Will, that you have it reviewed by an experienced estate planning attorney. However, we also recommend that you not create your own will due to pitfalls that you might not be aware of or could anticipate.
