Power of attorney

My father is in the hospital and I am his only child. I cannot find paper work for power of attorney and now the hospital bills, as well as all his other bills are coming in. How do I get power of attorney to pay the bills?

Re: Power of attorney

If your father is competent he can sign a Power of Attorney naming his choice as agent. If he is not competent and he had not previously named you as his agent, or created signing authority for you on his account, then you may need to seek Court authority.

You should consult with a qualified attorney in your county for assistance.
