Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Colorado

last will and testament

I am under the impression that last will and testaments are of public record. Is that the case? If so I want to be able to access my grandfathers' will. Where would I go to do this? He lived and died in Denver, CO in 1980.

Re: last will and testament

His Will would be available at the Denver Probate Court if it was filed with the Court or his estate was opened. The Denver Probate Court is located on the 2nd floor of the City and County Building downtown. You can also request that the Personal Representative provide a copy as a courtesy to you.
