what is the best kind of will to have if your total worth isabout 150,000 dollars. one that does not have to go to probate? thank you.

All Wills are subject to probate, called informal estate administration in Colorado. However, it may be possible for assets to pass to designated beneficiaries using beneficiary designations. These assets would then pass outside of the estate administration process.

Any will for an estate of $150,00 will have to go through probate. A trust may be an appropriate alternative, however. I recommend that you consult with an Elder Law attorney who can review your entire situation and make recommendations for how to proceed.
