Legal Question in Criminal Law in Connecticut

Age of consent issues.

Is there any law preventing a 24 year old from having a mutally consented to lesbian relationship with 17 year old in another state (specifically PA)?

Is it illegal for a 24 year old lesbian to give her 17 year old lover, who lives in PA, sexually explicit letters and audio recordings?

IF it is illegal for a 24 year old to have a mutually consented to lesbian relationship with a 17 year old and/or to give her 17 year old lover sexually explicit material, could such situations be used as grounds for taking the 24 year old lesbian's child from her?

Re: Age of consent issues.

Any sexual relationship with a minor will be subject to the criminal laws that protect a minor. Notably, corruption of a minor. Without knowing what the content of the sexually explicit letters and audio recordings, it is diffucult to say whether or not there may also be other criminal violations. In response to your third question, if you are convicted and sent to jail for such criminal offenses, it is possible that you will lose custody of your children. The root of the problem is that you are dealing with a minor (I am assuming that the minor is not legally emancipated), who, being below the age of majority (18), is considered by the law to be in need of protection. The best advice I can give is to say that you should wait until she is 18 years old.
