Legal Question in Administrative Law in Connecticut
My past employer provided me with an email stating that I could work in a competitive space and that I could use that email to present to my current employer. However when I started to work with that employer my new company sent a marketing email campaign from a info address not from my address however it had my name at the end of the email and they are pissed now. They since then sent an email to the new company stating that I was in violation.
Could you please assist?

Generally speaking, non compete agreements are viewed in a manner favorable to the employee, so it is likely that despite the so called violation notice that was sent recently, your former employer may not have a case. However, to confirm this, I would need to briefly review your non-compete agreement, the email that they sent and the violation notice. The review should be short and not expensive.
