Legal Question in Banking Law in Connecticut
Collection agency emptied checking account
I owed money to a collection agency who hired an attorney. I was told I did not need to attend court, but the attorney then executed a sheriff to go in and close out my checking account. I have no idea what to do now as I was on state aid for 1 year due to a kidney illness and the money they took came from child support. I was never given any notice that this would have happened and to this day I have no idea who I owe the money to
