Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Connecticut
bankruptcy liability
My brother has been living in WV, separate from his wife for over 2 months. She is now filing for bankruptcy in CT. If he returns ''home'' (staying at same home as wife) during the CT court proceedings, how much of her current debts is he resonsible for?

Re: bankruptcy liability
If he it is a joint account he is responsible. If it is a medical bill, even if they are separated, so long as they are not divorced, a husband is leaglly responsible for the medical bills of his wife.
If she is filing, he should too, else he will be left holding the bag.
