Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Connecticut

Turning in a car lease.

The company that holds my lease has told me that they cannot pursue me for or excess wear and tear and excess mileage on the car I have since it was listed in my bankruptcy last year. They have also said that the money that they also cannot report it to any credit agencies for the same reason. Is this accurate? Can I turn in the vehicle without paying for the excess wear, tear, and milage without it being reported or adversely affecting my credit report?

yes, I agree with the leasing company. I presume that you did not reaffirm or assume the lease and therefore the underlying obligation has been discharged. As to the credit report, if they list the delinquency, you can contact the credit bureau and advise that the debt was included in your bankruptcy.
