Legal Question in Business Law in Connecticut
Lease Agreement
If you co-sign for a lease on a lease agreement of a vehicle and the payments were made however you the individual went over on mileage/damages and filed bankruptcy would you as the co-signer be responsible for the overage? Also, when you were in contact with the company and asked for a pay off figure and was told they get back to you and never did wouldn't there be accountability on their part?

Re: Lease Agreement
I don't think the fact they never got back to you creates accountability on their part. Why wouldn't you discharge the debt of the overage in the bankruptcy case? If you filed for bankruptcy, you need to list all of your debt. You should speak to your bankruptcy attorney about this.
