Legal Question in Business Law in Connecticut
Legal Age for Contracts
If a person starts an LLC and is not yet 18 years of age, will the contracts he enters into for his services be binding on all parties? If not, how does he deal with contracts until he is 18?

Re: Legal Age for Contracts
If the LLC enters the contract it will be binding on the LLC. Contracts with a minor are voidable at theoption of the minor (with certain exceptions). The LLC is a separate entity from the minor. From a practical standpoint, people may be nervous of entering a contract with the LLC because of this situation, but it is really not a problem if they beleive that they can get some remedy from the LLC alone.
