Legal Question in Business Law in Connecticut

I opened a business in 2003 than 3 years later i added a partner, 50/50. We've been working as subcontractor for construction/remodeling companies. Then my partner deleted me from all bank accounts, from this business. Is that legal? Can i do anything about it? Am entitled to anything?

As a Franchise Attorney I must ask that you repost your question with more detail. Is the business a partnership or corporation? What documents have been signed by the respective parties. It's not really possible to even begin an answer with understanding the entire situation. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.

If your "partner" did not have the authority to access the bank account and in fact the account was accessed without authority and without a legitimate business reason, then it is a serious matter.

Furthermore, in addition to claims you may have against the partner, you may also have claims against the bank. Such claims need to be addressed as soon as possible, otherwise you may be barred from submitting such claims under the relevant statutes of limitation.

Unless you are willing to let your partner have the money, you should consult with an attorney admitted to practice in Connecticut without delay. Feel free to contact my office at your earliest convenience.
