Legal Question in Business Law in Connecticut
I purchased music via a plastic record in the 1970's. If music is a form of software then I must have purchased the license to hear the music. Why if the venue (CD, Itunes) has changed do I have to pay again?

Pay for what exactly? Are you asking why you have to pay for iTunes of something you purchased on vinyl? I guess its an interesting question, but the why is pretty irrelevant, as no one is going to give you free music. You are buying a product, not rights. If you buy a CD and then lose it, you would have to repurchase it, then again if you lost it a second time.
