Legal Question in Business Law in Connecticut
Returned checks NSF
In the past 2 months, my contractor has given me 4 checks that were returned as non sufficient funds. Should I report him to the authorities and how should I get the rest of money that is owed to me? I have 2 other checks from him to deposit, but I have decided not to deposit them into my checking account, because I am conecerned about the checks coming back to me as NSF.

You didn't say who you are. Were you an employee? If so, you should call the CT Labor Department and speak to whomever handles lack of payment by an employer. You probable will have to fill out some paperwork, but they are known to be very good about taking care of these types of problems pursuant to their authority.
