Legal Question in Business Law in Connecticut

I'm venturing into art and craft shows, but have no way to accept credit cards. A local store has said I could call them each time a customer wanted to pay with a credit card. They would manually ring up the transaction, otherwise I'd have no way of accepting credit cards. Is this legal? The store isn't looking for payment for doing this, they just want to help me out. Does is make a difference that they carry my artwork? Thanks for your help.

You should check with the merchant account services representative for the store's credit card accounts to see if they allow this.
