Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Connecticut
Neighbor Harassment
I have lived in myhouse for over 20 years. A few years back, a new neighbor moved in. Even with having a shared driveway, never have her or i had any problems. About 10 or so months ago, she began to cause a real issue with the property line. She would start fights with me and my family anytime we parked on our side, even though she built a fence in the middle of the community area and constantly parks in the middle of the driveway so no one can come in our out. we had to have our land assessed and marked off and she still disobeys it. She has called the cops on multiple occasions making false complaints, she continuously makes false complaints about drug use in our house, health hazards, and unregistered vehicles. She even goes so far as to video tape us and take pictures of us in and out of the house. In the mornings she will warm her car up with the radio blasting and the horn continuously going. Even after all of this no one even looks her direction. But she just wont stop. Is there anything we can do to stop her harassment? I have a cousin living with me who has a newborn baby that stays with us part time and i dont want her or anyone being subjected to this irrational harassment. Any information would be helpful. Thank you.
