Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Connecticut
neighborhood harassment
I live in the center of a cul de sac. One of my next door neighbors has been stalking me for about four years. I have put up fences around my house but the only open area is my driveway. Now his kids and other neighborhood kids continually stand in my driveway and scream. When asked to leave, their parents claim I am bothering them. They have filed a number of petty complaints with local police that I am not a good neighbor, not friendly, etc. but nothing of substance. However, I am becoming exhausted from all of this and frightened that I may be arrested. I am a 53 year old female, working mother with a 13 year old. I hold a position of tax manager and I am a part time professor. How can I stop the harassment. The police will not disclose any of the detail of the reports other than they are just allegations. But I have professional licenses at stake and I am concerned.
