Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Connecticut

Re: Amendement VI

I am doing a report on Amendment VI. I need three cases to show how this amendment was issued. When I type in 'Amendement VI' I only see the actual amendment. Is there a search engine or information you know about the topic that would help me? I would appreciate it. Please email any help to the above email address. Thank you!

Re: Re: Amendement VI

Your question is unclear. I don't understand "cases to show how this amendment was issued." Amendment VI is part of the Bill of Rights which is a product of the national legislature, not of the courts. There are no "cases" enacting the Amendment - that was done outside the justice system.

If your real question is cases interpreting Amendment VI, then plug "speedy trial" into the search engine and you will find a plethora of cases interpreting the Amendment which follows:

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.
