Legal Question in Consumer Law in Connecticut
bad car title
I purchased a jeep 4 months ago and i used my 2000 camary for a trade in on a jeep Larado, i just received a letter from a lawyer that the title was forged on the jeep and that the dealership is reprocessing my jeep ,I have made all my payments on time , i think the dealership is responsible because they sold me the jeep and gave me all the paperwork, they are saying i am at fault amd must return the jeep, the got the jeep through a trade in at there dealership and they know the woman forged the title to make it a clear title but she still owned money to the bank for the jeep, what are my rights, thanks, kay

I would have to review the paperwork you signed to be in a better position to answer your question. However, at first blush, yes, it appears that the dealership may be responsible. I am curious as to why the dealership thinks you are at fault....
