Legal Question in Consumer Law in Connecticut

Used Car Purchased Seems to have a lot of problems

Hello, I purchased a used 2006 Nissan Altima less than a week ago, I thought I did everything possible to find out the history on this vehicle, I ask the dealer for a carfax report, and to do a full inspection of the vehicle. When he did the carfax report he told me that the car had been in an accident previously and that there was a rebuilt title, he ensured me that the vehicle did not have any major damage and there was absolutely no problems with the engine. I decided to take the vehicle for a little road trip to check the car and the vehicle started to over heat within driving 30 miles, and the engine started to run really loud. If this vehicle is not able to be fixed of the problem or has more problems will I be able to return it or is there any other kind of recourse? Thank you so much for your time.

This is a used car warranty issue. It's not so simple. I'm assuming from your question, although it's not clear, that you took that test drive after you bought the vehicle.

If you paid more than 5 thousand for the vehicle, you have a 60 day, 3 thousand mile warranty by operation of law. (it's less than that if you paid 3-5 thousand dollars for the vehicle)

You should first look at your warranty information and see what it says.

Unfortunately, you probably have to give the seller a reasonable time to repair it. Then, if the vehicle isn't repaired, you would have to sue the seller, if the seller doesn't agree to take back the vehicle and refund your money.
