Legal Question in Consumer Law in Connecticut
is a handshake legally binding? I am constructing a contest in our library for our students. I am using a classic peanuts comic strip in which Lucy pulls the football on Charlie Brown after shaking hands and agreeing not to do that. She then says, "A woman's handshake is not legally binding." I am wondering if any handshake is legally binding and if a woman's handshake is considered legally binding in today's world. the comic was first published in 1963.

I don't believe the "handshake" does the "binding." The verbal agreement is the contract. (you don't need the handshake)
