Legal Question in Consumer Law in Connecticut
Online Hotel Reservation
I made an online hotel reservation in April 2007 for New Year's Eve. I have the rated confirmed at $49 + tax (from the hotel's direct website, not a third party website). The hotel called me on Dec 21, 2007 and said that the rate is now $249 + tax. Can the hotel change the rate after I had confirmed the rate through their website?

Re: Online Hotel Reservation
This sounds like a bait-and-switch. However, you may not have a "fix-it-in-advance option. You should contact the local AG's office and see what they recommend, or a Connecticut attorney.
