Legal Question in Consumer Law in Connecticut
Can person(s) witness their own signature(s) on contracts?
I have an agreement on file ... between My company and a local vender. The agreement was entered into by an employee of my company ... and a represenative of the local vender. Both individuals signed the agreement ... then also witnessed the agreement as well. My question is simply this ... can you witness your own signatures?

Whether the signatures on this particular agreement needed to be witnessed is probably not relevant unless one of the parties disputes that he or she actually was the person signing it. Witnessed signatures are usually required in certain circumstances by law. This is probably not one of them.
