judgement against me be credit card company

I had a judgement file against me by a credit card collection company, without my knowlegde..can,t afford to pay..live of a small pension..no job

Because of the credit crunch, my hunch is lots of credit card companies may negotiate what is owed to them. If you think you can afford 25 cents on the dollar, I would call the company up, (by pass the collection agency if possible, because they get a cut of the action)and find out what they will take, make sure that part of the deal is to cure your credit report in some manner.
