Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Connecticut

my wife and i are more than likely going to file bankrupcy...as a result of credt card debt....we were just given a civil summons by citibank 3 days age....can we send a appearance form to court or should we get an attorney?

You can send in the Appearance form. However, you should consult with a bankruptcy attorney who will advise you on whether you are eligible for bankruptcy. You need to know this if a lawsuit has been filed against you.
