Legal Question in Criminal Law in Connecticut
bank robbery
If a note is used in a bank robbery without a weapon, is this considered third degree robbery or grand theft? The note did not threaten violence but demanded money. Is robbery considered any less of an offense than theft? In one case, the teller hesitated and the defendant ran away, would this help show that no violence was intended?
