Legal Question in Criminal Law in Connecticut
Car Stolen
I went through a website to try and get my car scrapped.
The towing company was supposed to bring the money with them when coming to pick up the car.
They were also supposed to call to set up a day and time for towing.
Never called, nothing set up.
I arrive home a few days later, car is gone, and a message in my inbox stating that the company has recieved the car.
No money paid, and I have title still in hand.
Is there anything I can do to get more money than previously agreed upon? Request more money in order for them to pick up the title, and the part of the car that they forgot, should I report this to the police, or should I try to pursue some sort of civil suit?

Re: Car Stolen
It sounds as though you may have have been robbed. You may want to call the police but more likely you should contact an attorney who deals with consumer issues as this may be consumer fraud. Please feel free to contact us 203.870.6700.
