Legal Question in Criminal Law in Connecticut

Possible case of fraud/theft?

I recently completed a transaction with a man in Florida. He paid me $800 through Paypal for a notecard to be shipped to him which would contain information. I overnighted the notecard with the information written on it to him and I have a copy of his signature. He sent me an email claiming he received a blank notecard and he wants his money back. He then said he will contact the attorney general and possibly get me arrested for criminal fraud. Do his claims have any validity? Is it possible for me to get in trouble for this?

I think the attorney general has more important things to worry about. However, the man does have the right to sue you. He can sue if his claims are substantiated by evidence.

However, it sounds like he is trying to get more from the bargain than what he paid for it.

Did you try to fix his unhappiness by sending another notecard or giving him the information he wants?
