Caught shoplifting..

Hi, I was caught shoplifting at Burlington coat factory, but never left the store, and the store's employees have conflicting statements on how they saw me, when, etc. It was only about 60$, and it's my first time offense. I'm 20 years old, and a college student.

As a first time offender in CT you might be eligible for certain rehabilitative programs. Such programs may require restitution to the victim and participation in community work but you are likely to avoid any jail time.
