Legal Question in Criminal Law in Connecticut

My home was recently broken into and a safe was stolen. The troopers are now attemping to charge my girlfriend and I with false statements but no charges have been pressed. They say they have a witness and statement but they have made no action against me. They want me to take a polygraph test tomorrow and I dont know what my rights are. Please help!
