Legal Question in Criminal Law in Connecticut
My daughter is 16 and was caught shoplifting a total of of $46.00 The police were called and released her into my husbands custody with a promise to appear in court. Do we need a lawyer? We cannot really afford one, and we make too much for legal aid. Will this be on her permanent record? The ticket reads Larceny 6 - misdemeanor.

If this is your daughters first offense, it is possible to keep it off her record.
