Legal Question in Criminal Law in Connecticut

i need help but i don know where to turn
a few years a go i purchased a car i needed a cosigner my exs father co signed. when we broke up my ex wanted to be vendictive he called me a t work told me his father didnt trust that i would continue the payments and wanted the car back. his name was first on the lease so i thought i didnt have much choice within two hours he was at my house to get back the car. come to find out later his father new nothing of it. i cancelled the insurance but not the registration. now yesturday i was in a fenderbender and found out my liscence was suspended for unpaid parking tickets and i think it may also be related to not carring insurance on that car the tickets were because of him i dont know what to do i am 26 y.o single mother of two and he is also not helpin with child support or child care i need advise on who can i turn to. PLEASE
