Legal Question in Criminal Law in Connecticut
False accusation of Sexual Harassment
Some one made a false statement that got me fired. A police detective stated that this person has filed a restraining order against me. If so shouldn't I receive a copy of this. My former bosss also made a police complaint that is totally false. Do I have the right to a copy of that too.

Re: False accusation of Sexual Harassment
A restrainig order has to be served on you before it can be valid. You should attempt to obtain a copy of your boss's complaint;however, you are not entitled to it if an investigation is ongoing. You can try freedom of information. Dennis P. McDonough
