Legal Question in Criminal Law in Connecticut
pressing charges
my dad molested me as a child and i recently discovered this. I called the police about it. A statute of limitations my apply because it was almost 20 years ago. My question is, will this automatically go to court, and will I have the option to press charges or not?

You can go to the police station and file a report. After that, you may want to check in with the prosecutor to see what your options are as far as prosecuting the matter.
