Pressing counter charges
My sister lied to the police about me raping her, do I have to wait until the criminal charges are dropped before I press counter charges for fraud, or can I do it now?

Re: Pressing counter charges
Yes. However, you can't force the police to charge her with a crime, but you could file a civil action against her if you can prove she made a false allegation of sexual assault against you after the criminal case is resolved in your favor.
