Legal Question in Criminal Law in Connecticut
statement
am I breaking any laws if I dont give the police a statement,the police say the believe Im holding a weapon for someone who has commited a crime,I told them that was false info., they want me to go to the station so I can give them a statement.

NO You have an absolute right to refuse to give a statement.If I were you;I would contact a criminal attorney asap,and have the attorney contact the police.Further,it would benefit you to obtain a criminal attorney's advice.Dennis P. McDonough
