Who is responsible for theft of parts taken from your car in an monitored employee parking lot

Re: Theft
Naturally, the person who stole the parts would be criminally responsible. In addition, you may be able to sue the owner of the parking lot, but this is going to be a little more difficult. For example, one of your theories could be that since the owner of the lot knew of some sort of previous thefts and or criminal acts that occured in the parking lot and failed to take any precautionary measures and or warnings, they are liable. This theory assumes there were previous criminal acts such as yours. This is so because alot of parking garages have disclaimers for situations such as yours.
This is a fact based scenario, so to give a full legal opinion you would have to give more facts.
