Re: violating - Domestic dispute

I am sorry to hear about your difficult situation. Violating a protective order is a Class D felony punishable by up to 5 years in jail. I strongly suggest you contact a lawyer immediately. From your zip code, I assume your case will be at GA 14 in Hartford where I have handled many cases like yours. If a warrant is issued for your arrest, you should make arrangements with a bondsman beforehand and turn yourself in early in the morning (7:30 a.m.) at the Hartford Police Dept so that you can get transported to court and processed that day. If you turn yourself in later in the day or the police pick you up, you may very well be in jail overnight. Call my office or my cellphone 8609770660 if you would like to discuss this further.
