Legal Question in DUI Law in Connecticut
Did not go to court date Monday, August 21,2006
My lawyer had an emergency case on this date on sent the Connecticut Court a letter asking for an adjournment. I did not think I should go to court without my lawyer because I did on one occasion and it was a disaster. So I told my lawyer that I wasn't going to go. I called my lawyer today and he told me he found out yesterday that Connecticut has a warrant out for my arrest with a $1000. bail! What do I do? Please Help.

A good start would be getting a new lawyer. That said, I think it was a big mistake of you in deciding on your own not to go to court. You need to return to court to resolve this situation as soon as possible and with the assistance of counsel. If you need further assistance, you may contact me via email.
