elder law/title 19 /connecticut
my mom is living with me. my daughter is living in her house to maintain it etc. i now want to put my mom in a home. i know the state is entitle to her home because of title 19 and the house has to be put on the market when she applies for title 19. will the state evict my daughter or can she stay there for a year at least?

Title 19 issues can be complicated. It's very important that you seek out a consultation with an experienced elder law attorney before you do anything.
As far as I know, the state can not evict anyone from a home that they do not own. Generally, the state would be a lien on the home for any monies they believe are owed as reimbursement for title 19 benefits paid to a nursing home on a resident's behalf. When the home is sold, the they would collect their lien.
