Legal Question in Elder Law in Connecticut
My mom owns her own home My sister and I want to do a deed transfer My sister states that I can not be involved because she is afraid of my husband having any part of the property transfer. She is also married and not concerned about her husband. How does being married affect a deed transfer to an individual.

If your mom transfers any portion of the home to you and your sister and you and/or your sister get a divorce, the property is part of the marital estate and both of your spouses could make claim to a part of it in the divorce actions.
