Legal Question in Elder Law in Connecticut
timeframe for filing claims for life ins and annuity
dad passed away in nursing home. never received bills for cost of home as they advised covered by medicare.(however, do not beleive the yare correct). should i not file claims for his life insruance and annuties until after i see if they will come back with a bill dated back for the past 18 months in the nursing home?

I don't have any information regarding the annuities you mention, but life insurance passes outside of the probate estate and therefore should go to the beneficiary clear of any debts owed by the estate.
