Legal Question in Environmental Law in Connecticut

Health risk from environmental pollution

Hello,

The garbage truck spills a dirty liquid beside my apartments door.

I sent complaint to landlord and told about the risk of harming my health this pollution.

But he was undertaking nothing to eliminate pollution and said he cant do anything.

Could you please give me some advice about my rights, opportunities and way to solve this problem?

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Re: Health risk from environmental pollution

You should write a letter to your landlord documenting the spill and your demand for it to be cleaned. If you want to take it a step further, maybe take a sample and go to your local department of health to have it tested. It may be a harmless spill. However, if it is not, then you have proof of a pollutant and your landlord's inaction to remedying the problem.
