Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

My 19 daughter got mixed up with a 30 something loser 5 years ago. She is now 25. She has 2 kids by him. She wants to leave and come back home. He doesn't work, drive or support her or the kids in any way. He just lays in the bedroom playing video games all day.He has taken all her savings. And has alienated her from us during that time. They live in his mothers house. She is afraid of him.We have recently started communicating secretly. (she's not allowed to call us) Can she just leave with the kids and come here? Does she need a restraining order, a sheriff there when she leaves?. Does he have any rights to the kids? There is so much more to this story...any insight would be helpfull...

Your daughter is not a prisoner in Connecticut and her "boyfriend" is not her jailer. She is free to travel to anew town and get a retraining order.

Your daughter can leave any time she wants to and she can take the children with her. She should leave first and then get the restraining order. I would need more information to give any specific advice. She will eventually want to file an application for custody and child support in the future and force him to support those children.
