I'm not sure what you mean by "legally responsible." Your daughter is the biological mother and the father would have to acknowledge paternity to be financially and custodially responsible. Your daughter would have to file a custody and support action if the father will not acknowledge paternity. Since she is a minor, you may have to file it for her or she would have to seek emancipation.
