Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Not adhering to terms of divorce

Under the terms of our divorce, my husband had agreed to take our kids on a Tuesday evening. Since we divorced, he has moved to another town and refuses to take the kids on a Tuesday (even though he still works in the same town where we reside). I am expected to work late on a Tuesday evening. Do I need to get a lawyer involved to insist that he takes the kids on a Tuesday or can I go directly to court in CT? He has told me that the judge would take his side. If he doesn't have to take the kids, can I get him to pay childcare for Tuesday evenings? Thanks,

Re: Not adhering to terms of divorce

You can do a contempt motion yourself. The most likely result would be for the judge to make him pay for the day care if he won't take the child.
