Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut
Alimony
In CT I'm told the accepted
percentage split of the breadwinners
income is 38-45% to the person
receiving alimony. Is this true & does
this percentage include child
support?
Thx

Re: Alimony
There is no set formula in CT. The non-breadwinning spouse can realistically claim 50% but many factors come into play: length of marriage and reason for the break up are often considered, as well as the earning capacity, education and experience of the non-breadwinning spouse.
