Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

All,

I'm in the process of separating from my wife.

Recently, she has traveled extensively and caused our 2 children to miss several school days.

Is there any legal recourse I have to force her to keep our children in school during regularly scheduled school days?

Any advice much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Ulrik

Yes there is. Courts frown on removing children from school unless it is an emergency, they are sick or some other very good reason. Traveling is not one of them. When you file for the divorce or legal separation, you can seek pendente lite orders (temporary pending the proceedings) and request the court to order her to keep them in school.
