Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

child custody

my estranged wife(we go to trial for our divorce October 9 th 2007) moved out of the area (most likely out of the state) with my 4 year old son. what is my best action to take now. can I connact the police dept where I think she is and ask for a welfare check on my son.
